*Update* It seems better but it’s still a little sluggish. The site is suuuper slow right now. The hoster said someone (not us) on the server is running something that is chewing up bandwidth and they’re working on figuring out who and what that is. Hopefully it will be back to its speedy self in a [...]

I just made an amusing discovery whilst browsing the Ray-Ban website: The new glasses for which I continue to receive compliments are, in fact, a women’s model. I wonder if Chuck Klosterman’s are, too.

Or maybe the Red Hot Chili Peppers. There haven’t actually been any deaths. Some of the stories seem like little more than a post-adolescent eructation, with wastrels slouching toward oblivion [...]

All gone. Kaveh picked the last one up, already. It is 7.5 inches deep x 93.5 inches tall by 48 inches wide. It is made of real wood, stained, with unstained fiberboard backing, with 6 shelves. It could be evenly stained or easily painted. It has a lot of dings.   $50 cash.

I had a relatively strict Protestant upbringing. My mother used to put a blanket over my eyes during the racier parts of primetime television (i.e., Charlie’s Angels), and my brothers and I were allowed only two fingers worth of Coke a week—served religiously after dinner on Saturday nights. But somehow the sexy, testosterone-ramping intros [...]
