Still Time to Weigh In

The National Book Awards have thrown the voting open to the public to choose The Best of the National Book Awards Fiction

The following six finalists were selected by 140 writers from across the country.  Curious that there’s so many short story volumes.

 The Stories of John Cheever
 Invisible Man, by Ralph Ellison
 The Collected Stories of William Faulkner
 The Complete Stories of Flannery O’Connor
 Gravity’s Rainbow, by Thomas Pynchon
 The Collected Storiesof Eudora Welty
